David Awanda is the Co-President (Is this a title?) of ZGS. He is a technology integration leader, scientist and systems engineer in the Radiation Protection Sector. David has distinguished himself in leadership roles in the private, government and military sectors for close to three decades. In his last public servant capacity, he served as the Chief for High Reliability, Change Management, and the Human Design Office in the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Logistics Redesign Program Management Office. He served as an advisor to the VALOR PMO advisor to VHA Central Office for justifying operational procedures, interpreting new legislation and/or federal regulations, and recommending the adoption or implementation of specific policies and procedures.
David possesses a wide array of experience directing operations through strategic planning and effective management of staff and budgets, strong and decisive leadership competencies, yet flexible in responding to constantly changing organizational demands as exhibited by career progression in his many years supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs. At ZGS, David is responsible for achieving overall strategic goals and collaborating with private and governmental agencies on cutting-edge technology to deliver the best service to our clients.
